Delete your account
This action cannot be undone. Deletion removes your account, all coach threads and message history, voice calls and transcripts, goals and logs, voice clones, child profiles, and every user-keyed file we store in cloud storage. Backups containing your data are rotated out within 90 days.
Fastest: delete from inside the iOS app
Settings → You → Account → Delete account
Tap the red Delete account button and confirm. The deletion runs immediately. You don't need to email us — it's the same process either way.
No app access? Request deletion by email
Use this path if you've already uninstalled the app, lost access to your phone number, or simply prefer email.
- Send an email to privacy@hey.ai with the subject line "Account Deletion Request".
- If possible, send it from the phone number on file, the email associated with your billing, or include enough information for us to identify your account (phone number used at sign-in, approximate sign-up date, last subscription tier).
- We will confirm receipt within 2 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days. You will receive a confirmation when it's done.
What gets deleted
- Account profile (phone, name, settings, push tokens).
- All coach threads and every message in them.
- Scheduled calls, call sessions, call audio, call transcripts, and call summaries.
- Goals, log entries, daily commitments.
- Voice memos and any voice clones you created (revoked at the TTS provider as well).
- Child profiles (if you used Kids mode).
- Connected-service tokens (Google, Todoist, etc.) — revoked at the upstream provider.
- Every file in cloud storage keyed to your user id (avatars, recordings, uploads).
- Memory narrative and any other derived data.
What we may retain
Records required by law (for example, billing records for tax/accounting purposes, certain abuse-prevention records) may be retained for the period required by applicable law. Where we retain them, we limit access and use them only for the legally required purpose. Aggregated, fully de-identified information that cannot be linked back to you may be retained indefinitely.
Right to confirmation
Once we complete the deletion, we will send a confirmation to the email or phone number you used to make the request. You can also email privacy@hey.ai at any time to confirm the status of an in-flight deletion request.
Don't want to delete — just stop the calls?
If you only want to stop scheduled calls and SMS without deleting your account, you can:
- Turn off the relevant coach or schedule in Settings → You; or
- Reply STOP to any SMS from us.
